Hi! I’m Gabrielle- but you can call me Gigi. If my blog name didn’t already give it away, I’m passionate about all things NBA, MLB, and NFL. I graduated last May with a bachelor’s in Sports Psychology and am currently on a gap year before starting the next chapter of my academic journey. This blog is my passion project in the meantime, and I’m hoping it grows into something special.
I love sharing my experiences visiting different stadiums, giving my honest takes on games, teams, and players, and breaking down terms that newer fans might find confusing. And while I enjoy all three sports, my heart belongs to the NBA.
I started as a Golden State Warriors fan and still am- but over time, I’ve also fallen in love with the Orlando Magic, Chicago Bulls, Portland Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs, and Charlotte Hornets. (Ignore the OKC hat in the picture, I was going through a Chet Homgren phase). My first Fantasy Basketball season just wrapped up, and let’s just say drafting across the league will do that to you. Every player I picked up, I found myself rooting for.
On the baseball side, growing up in the New York/New Jersey area basically makes being a Yankees fan a birthright. Football is where my story gets a little more unexpected- I’m a Cincinnati Bengals fan! I’ve been a huge fan of the band Black Veil Brides for years, and their lead singer, Andy Biersack, is from Cincinnati, so seeing him rep Bengals gear all the time made it feel like destiny. I actually got the opportunity to meet him last September and talk all things Bengals- but that’s a story for another post.
When I’m not watching sports (which is rare), you can find me at the gym, at a concert, discovering new music, trying a new restaurant or coffee shop, catching up on the latest reality TV show, or planning my next stadium trip.
I’m so excited to kick this off! Stay tuned for stadium reviews, in-depth takes on your favorite teams and players, and a term-explanation cheat sheet to give you the ultimate ball knowledge at your next sporting function!
